Let’s talk honestly about change.
How we change our mindset.
How we change our decisions.
How we change the way we see the world.
And how we finally start the change we’ve been avoiding.
Change is challenging. Full stop.
It is challenging because it calls us to fully embrace life. To be present. To find parts of ourselves we never imagined existed. It is the process of creating the truly valuable moments in life. It teaches us how resilient and clever we really are when we are ready to embrace it.
Some people will sell you a “simple formula” for $999. Tempting. Please don't. You would be giving your unique journey over to buy someone else's. You need your own system.
The truth is: change is personal. It’s shaped by every experience, belief, trauma, and habit you’ve accumulated across your life.
A painful incident from years ago can still influence how you show up today. That’s human. But when you realise you’re reacting to your world instead of responding to it, exhaustion sets in. You feel mentally foggy, emotionally drained, and frustrated that your inner triggers seem to be driving the bus, not you.
You might feel disappointed with how life has turned out. Maybe it’s not what you expected. Maybe it’s not what you planned because you had ideas in your head but never built the plan to make them real.
Recently, I watched a video of a young man who chose a sales job, filmed the empty desks after hours, and complained about working 12‑hour days for a small bonus. His message was that his situation was unfair.
But the truth? He chose it. The pay, the bonus structure, the hours — none of that changed. His view of it changed.
That moment of filming the empty office clearly sparked his transformation. But what struck me most was the attitude he had years earlier: the belief that life had cheated him.
I’ve met so many people who feel this way, as if they lined up at a window labelled Life Choices and were handed the wrong ticket.
But if we look closely, many of us have cheated ourselves. We wanted shortcuts. We wanted the Instagram‑ready moments. We believed enthusiasm alone would carry us. We bought the Life Lotto ticket and expected to win.
It rarely works that way. Those celebratory videos you see online? They’re the highlight reel after years of hard work.
If we want to change our lives, we need a clear vision of where we’re going.
Plenty of people say, “I’m going to be…” They’re excited. They’ve done a course, finished a degree, or started manifesting. But to get from A to B, you need clarity — and that’s where most people stumble. It sounds easy to “set a vision and start,” but the mind needs more than a slogan.
In the early days, telling yourself “I just need to start” is fine. It tricks your brain out of complacency. You share your dream with friends and family. Their encouragement fuels you. Their doubts motivate you.
But eventually, the talking ends — and the doing begins.
And that’s when reality bites.
You leave your job. You gain the freedom to sit in a café at 10am with a latte. But suddenly you’re responsible for everything: finance, marketing, operations, scheduling. Congratulations! You're now the Chief Everything Officer of your own life.
The latte doesn’t give you clarity. The Canva logo takes a week, not an afternoon. The beach days you imagined disappear under a mountain of tasks.
Sitting alone in the café before closing time, you realise something important: You walked away from what you didn’t want. BRAVO. But you didn’t define where you were going. You didn’t check feasibility. You didn’t map the resources, skills, or people you’d need.
So now you face a choice. Do you go home and jump on SEEK? Or do you finally do the work you avoided; the work that makes change real?
This Is Where Change Coaching Begins
I’m a Change Coach. Not a life coach. Not a business coach. I’m here at the moment you think:
“I need to change. This chapter has served me, but I’m ready to write a new one.”
I get to know you. I help you understand why you’re where you are today. If past trauma or mental blocks are holding you back, I may recommend a psychologist or counsellor — because real change requires clearing what stands in your way.
Together, we define two states:
- Where you are now
- Where you want to go
Then we analyse the gap.
We identify your strengths, the skills you need, and the thinking patterns that support or sabotage your vision. You’re the driver of the bus; I help you steer.
Next, we build The Plan. Not a rigid one. A flexible, accountable, personalised plan that fits you.
I’m not a fitness coach. I won’t yell at you to “push harder.” I won’t give you the typical Life Coach spiel, telling you you’re amazing every five minutes — unless you genuinely are.
What I will do is guide you into the change YOU want to make. I’ll support you, challenge you, and celebrate every step. Joy matters. It fuels momentum.
I’ll teach you the One Percent Rule: One percent progress each day. Enough to move forward. Not enough to create Delayed Onset Misery Syndrome (DOMS) from overdoing it.
We track your incremental progress. We build your confidence. We prepare for turbulence. We build your Life Continuity Plan because every journey has storms. Knowing whether to run to the bunker or simply put your umbrella up becomes part of your Life Strategy.
Change is like learning to fly: Find the airport. Hire the plane. Learn the controls. Practice take‑offs and landings. Then one day — you’re airborne. You can see the landscape and have eyes on the possibilities that lower altitude living can't deliver.
